Heidi's Place Day Care- San Mateo, CA
Heidi's place welcomes children from ages 6 weeks up to 3 years with a fitting program catered to their needs.

What will your baby do all day?
First and foremost, rest assured that your infant's feeding, diapering, and sleeping needs are met; according to her/his routine. It's during these moments that our baby will develop a special relationship with her/his infant teacher.
In Heidi’s Place, infants are cared for in a warm, loving way. The health, safety and security of the infants are of prime concern. At this young age, bonding is very important so we are encouraged to form relationships with each child. Physical, social, emotional, and intellectual activities are provided to encourage the child's development.
Toddlers learn by moving, playing and experimenting. Your baby's first year of life is an amazing time, filled with discovery and enormous growth. It's no secret that what she/he learns early in her/his life will be critical to success in school, relationships and life.Carefully selected learning activities will expose your toddler to basic concepts as well as open a new world of sights, sounds and experiences. Your toddler will be introduced to nursery rhymes, creative expression and colors. Language development is constantly encouraged through conversation, songs, finger plays and books. Our mixed-age-group settings, where children learn and grow through play, will maximize your child’s exposure to a wide range of learning and developmental opportunities.
Twos are exploding in their power to communicate, to move purposely, and to assert their independence and individuality. In the same way that adolescence stands between childhood and adulthood, twos are moving from the total dependence of babyhood to the more independent.
Toddlers and two-year-olds have smooth and flexible schedules that are dictated more by children's needs than by adults. Adults recognize that routine tasks of living like eating, toileting, and dressing are important opportunities to help children learn about their world and to regulate their own behavior. Daily opportunities for exploratory play outdoors are provided. Children are given appropriate art media, such as large crayons, watercolor markers, and large paper. Sturdy picture books are provided. Routines are planned as learning experiences to help children become skilled and independent.
